2019 Fall FIG Filmmaker’s Inclusion Grant
BEFORE YOU BEGIN……
Thank you for your interest in our Filmmaker’s Inclusion Grant. The 2019 Fall Grant is a no strings-attached (sort of) grant to support Georgia based filmmakers to produce short film content to practice their craft and further their skills as filmmakers.
To qualify, you must be a Georgia based filmmaker and have plans to shoot the film in the next year in Georgia. We also ask that you put the Film Impact Georgia logo in the credits for the film once it is completed.
If selected, Filmmakers will receive $5,000 in cash plus a mentor throughout the process completing the film.
The process will be as follows: Applications will be accepted from May 19, 2019-June 14, 2019. We will narrow down the applicants to 10 filmmakers and notify those 10 on July 1 to set up interviews. Guest mentors will then review those applicants and the final grant recipient will be notified on August 1.
Part of the application that we request is your personal Inclusion statement. This is an opportunity for ALL OF US to actively consider how we cast our projects, how we crew up our sets, and how we connect with our audiences. Do not overthink this. This can be in front of or behind the camera or in the story you are telling. We do not presume to tell you how or what to make. At FIG, we just want to actively participate in building a more inclusive, vital film future for all of us.
If you have any questions, please contact us at filmimpactgeorgia@gmail.com.
